Storm Surge Flooding in NYC

Storm surges associated with large hurricanes are the greatest potential flood threat to New York City. What potential damage could be expected? That would depend upon the size of the storm, where the storm made landfall, the landscape of the city, and the location of people and property. 

You will study the potential effects of hurricane-related storm-surge flooding in three coastal neighborhoods highlighted on the map:

LOWER MANHATTAN

CONEY ISLAND  and   ROCKAWAY
